mRNA Vaccines for COVID-19

COVID-19 has been rapidly taking away lives this year and scientists all over the world have been racing against the clock to find a vaccine to help people gain immunity to this deadly disease. Until recently, mRNA vaccines never made it to phase 3 of trials. Traditional vaccines used DNA and RNA wrapped in proteins as well a small piece of the virus itself so the body becomes immune. mRNA vaccines seem to worker better against traditional vaccines. In my opinion, I am interested to see if the mRNA vaccine will make it's way to people around the world. Although no vaccine is 100% immunity or safe I believe mRNA vaccines are our best shot in defeating COVID-19.

  1. This is an interesting topic! i enjoyed reading many articles about a possible vaccination. We know many people all around the world have been waiting on a proper vaccine to help tame this terrible virus. I hope it works, i personally can not wait for things to be back to normal!!

  2. I do wish that things can get back to normal but what if the COVID-19 cure is similar to the flu vaccinations?

  3. I hope that this vaccine works so the world can return to normal, however I do wonder if the mRNA vaccine will have worse side affects than traditional ones. I also wonder if there will be any long term side affects present. Im sure the benefit outweighs the risk in these times however.

  4. This is the first vaccine that is mRNA based. Because its the first I wonder if that means its more effective and preventative. For now because I think it is the first and not many studies and tests have been run on this vaccine personally one should be watchful of side effects and any reactions.
