I found this article rather philosophical. Perspective would be essential in deciding whether one would or would not want to know. Do you see the glass as half empty or half full? Do you drink what's in the glass with relish, fill it up with more of the same, enjoy a different beverage, or be happy now that the glass is empty. Two percent, a truly small percentage, it may not be a lot but for some it's more than enough. It's amazing how science gives us more opportunities to predict the future with specific gene encoded diseases.
