Have you ever found the dreaded belly button lint? Scientists have now studied the bacteria found in belly buttons. You may want to clean it now. The belly button is a haven for dead skin cell, bacteria and mold. Surprisingly not many people wash there belly buttons every day with soap. A group of scientist from North Carolina State University launch a Belly Button Biodiversity project. The studies have found Staphylococcus epidermidis, yellow colonies of Micrococcus, and gooey globs of Pseudomonas. I don't now how you feel about this but I'm going to think twice about my belly button before stepping out the shower.
