Getting Rid of FODMAPs

Getting Rid of FODMAPs

Eating a plant based diet has been proven to have great physical and environmental effects. However, there are many people that experience a discomfort when clean eating. A majority of plant based foods have fermentable oligo-di-mono-saccharides and polyols or FODMAPs for short. FODMAPs may trigger gastrointestinal symptoms in people who suffer from IBS. Scientists knew they wanted to come up with a solution so everyone would be able to enjoy the benefits of clean eating.
Scientists determined that the FODMAPs were able to be significantly reduced by bio processing using enzymes, fermentation, and germination. Scientists also found that using these processes will not have a change in any of the nutrients that the foods give the body. So, for people who are eating the foods that had altered FODMAP components, they will not be losing any nutrition.
