Understanding Genetic Differences in Tumors Can Yield Better Treatment

As one of the biggest threats to people all around the world it is important to understand all aspects of this disease. Understanding how different cancer appear and where they derive from would help make treatment allot less painful and save the patient allot of money. Different therapies affect certain patients better than others so if figuring out what the leading cause of the patients cancer can help lead to a more sufficient way of treating that individual. Sequencing codes for genomes that contain mutations or errors that lead to cancer is the first step to understanding how the defect first occurs thus leading to the best treatment for patients.

  1. Excellent article! Identification is the first major step I agree, then accessing the certain type of cancer/tumor via treatments suitable to that cell mutation. This is very relatable to our genetics course because identifying gene sequencing can utilize many characteristics about that person we can than give the most beneficial treatments to. I would recommend this article to anyone interested in genetics and hospital treatments. Great article finding.

  2. This is a great article, unfortunately many people have come to choose to think they know what may be causing the illness at a glance. With more research the greater the information will yeild. Thus better treatment plans can be made for the patients. I really identify with this because I want to go into health care and provide he best possible care.
