The topic discussed in this article has to do with how genetics can impact how parents raise their children. It has been thought for years that the way parents brought up their children was mainly impacted by how they were brought up; but it shows that genes may have a significant part of parenting. The study came up with a total of 23 to 40 percent of parents affections to their kids are influenced by genetics. This article shows "needed" skills parents need that are not instinctual based.

This is an interesting study because it shows that the nurturing instinct is implanted into use from our primitive roots; it’s similar to every other animal that nurtures its young. These other animals don’t recall how they were brought up, it is just natural for them to care and protect their young. So this study shows that we have not lost all of your ties to other animals we have evolved from.

  1. I think that this is a great reminder that while humans are a "superior" species, we are still animals and we still have animal instincts.
