The amount of influence that genetics have on an individual's athleticism is extremely interesting. Highlighting the fact that coaching plays more of a role than anything is extremely important though, which you touched on. Great post!

While modern sports is undoubtedly factored by genetics, an example being the amount of alveoli in your lungs being both genetic, and a factor in how well you can retain air while running, it is great that you highlighted the articles importance of lifestyle choices on an athletes performance rather than it solely being a genetics thing.
