DNA from asian mummies reveal surprising ancestry

 

Mysterious mummies that were excavated from Central Asia were seemed to display facial characteristics that resembled European heritage. The desert heat mummified the bodies that burned in western China from 4,000 to 1,800 years ago. An archeologist by the name of Yinqui Cui and his team analyzed DNA of 13 Tarim Basin mummies that displayed Asian ancestry that is traced back to hunter-gatherers. The milk proteins found in the dental tartar of these mummies regularly consumed dairy products
