The Children’s Hospital Los Angeles has published the
largest pediatric COVID-19 study as of November 20th. In this article, they saw how it is different for children versus adults. Also everyone
reacts to the virus differently because of the role of genes play. This article
shows there is a lack of data in children with the COVID-19 virus. Since this
study has such a large genomic data pool, it can show differences easier. In my
opinion this is very useful. It feels like information about COVID-19 changes every
day. In the beginning it was thought for kids to not get it as often, so it
would be helpful to study the genes of the children affected and see the similarities.
Of course, more research needs to be done, and more children’s data needs to be
included.
