A new study at brown university has found that the blocking agent retrotransposun https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retrotransposonttps://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2019/02/190206131939.htm found in ttps:/mice and in the human cells is providing hope in finding a cure for Alzheimer's disease along with some other age associated disorders, they include;Type 2 diabetes,Parkinson's ,muscular degeneration and arthritis. The interesting part of the article is that the drug used to treat HIV is found to block or prevent inflammation found in the age associated disorders listed above. Sedivy and his team think that this "class of drugs may keep the viral like L1 retrotransposon from replication and thereby prevent the inflammatory response". Some of there results showed that after treating a 26-month old mice which is equivalent to a 75 year old human showed that after 2wks there was a reduced interferon response and inflammation. To me Science is amazing and so many new studies and finding are happening hopefully scientist find cures for Alzheimer's disease ,cancer along with other diseases
