Dogs carry the oldest known living cancer

Generally cancer can not be transmitted from one organism to another, however, dogs are able to get a Transmittable venereal cancer that is passed from one dog to another during mating. Genetic testing by Elizabeth Murchison and her team have found that this cancer was present in a husky/malamute like dog 11,000 years ago. With this Research they able to help fight this cancer as well as give us insight in case a Transmittable cancer appears in humans.
