Concoction of Plant Nutrients Lead Breast Cancer Cell to Die

A joint study with the Louisiana State University’s Health Science Center and its Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center, have found a way to kill breast cancer cells using a powerful concoction of plant nutrients. The researchers took Currcumin, Isoflavone, Indo-3-Carbinol, Cphycocyanin, Reservatrol, and Quercetin to create a mixture that was administered at a bioavailable level to both breast cancer and control cells. All six of these nutrients are known to be protective chemical nutrients that are commonly found in foods such as turmeric root, soybeans, grapes, apples, and broccoli.

In addition to the study, they found that using the nutrients individually against the cells proved to be ineffective in destroying the breast cancer cells. As a result, they decided to combine all six of the nutrients together in which they saw a tremendous improvement. The breast cancer cell growth was suppressed by 80%. It also stopped the spread of the cells and triggered the process leading to cell death, causing 100% of the breast cancer cells to die within the sample. There was no adverse effect on the control cells and it was even able to target certain compounds in BCA1, BRAC2, and ovarian cancer cells. Dr. Madhwa Raj, in charge of the team, explained that one of the major causes in reoccurring breast cancer is due to a small group of cancer stem cells are able to resist drug therapy and go on to generate new tumors throughout the body.  With this new discovery it could help develop safer and more effective methods in dealing with breast cancer, possibly giving patients a more nature oriented treatment to choose from.

  1. I have done this article as well. I think that Madhwa Raj found a possible cure for breast cancer along with other cancers. It is quite fascinating that in the 21st century people are going towards researching and studying herbal approaches. Back in the old days they went with the scienetific approaches for finding cures. It is good thing that this change has occurred. There will be less harm to the body, less pain, and a lot more inexpensive.
