A new finding with chromosomes

This article is about the finding of new ways that the chromosome is folded.  It is origanalling thought that the DNA look like beads on a string.  With some farther reseach by team of Edith Heard, PhD, from the Curie Institute and Job Dekker, PhD, from the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) there is a different answer.  They look at the chromosome and say that it has a "yarn" like feel to it when it fold on itself.  If this is so, this could give the answer to how mutations happen at such opposite ends of  the base pairs.  The only problem is that if this comes to be true, then one little mutation could ruin an entier sequence.  The benefits could explain a lot of unanswered issues with how we have so many different mutations but do not always have then show through on the person.  this could farther assist on the treatment to mutations the show as diseases, but a lot more research is to be done before that can happen.
