Genetics and Environmental factors: Its what's for dinner
Food allergies is an increasing issue across the globe. This issue is making raising a child ever more difficult. Researchers have began to look at genetic factors that combined with environmental factors may lead to these food allergies. It has been determined that family genetics alone can cause allergies to occur. Family history of food allergies has a huge impact on the genotype of the following generations. So why is it that when combined with environmental factors that the allergies become so much more prevalent and even worsen the condition. Environmental factors alone do not cause the allergy, but researchers are very interested as to why when these factors are combined they are faced with a perfect storm of food allergies.

Funny thing about food allergies is that you almost have to induce them to figure them out. Which is quite dangerous I would think. It'd be nice if we could screen for the genotype and go from there.
