  1. This is really cool because I've always heard about people reacting differently to the same medication type and dosagee but don’t really think about why. It makes sense that genes affect how your body breaks it down. It also shows why a “one size fits all” approach to medicine doesn’t really work. I feel like this could make things more complicated in the future as the population grows and there’s more genetic variation. If everyone responds to medicine a little differently, it might be harder to find treatments that work the same for everyone. It kind of shows why personalized medicine is probably going to be more important going forward.
