Perhaps, it would be best to attach a photo of the brilliant Abby Solomon as well?Jennhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07512883238281485358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3360356351594869925.post-82800784322523702242016-12-10T18:46:11.325-05:002016-12-10T18:46:11.325-05:00My only hope is that any medicine that results fro...My only hope is that any medicine that results from this work is highly regulated because sadly I could see it being a 'desirable' drug for those who suffer from certain eating disorders. Many people in America suffer from obesity. The work being done thanks to Abby is a great opportunity to find a way to help these people, and possible others who also suffer Solomon neonatal progeroid syndrome.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07629294395424901401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3360356351594869925.post-44711095238041767122016-12-06T19:15:11.460-05:002016-12-06T19:15:11.460-05:00I feel sorry for people with neonatal progeroid sy...I feel sorry for people with neonatal progeroid syndrome such as Abby. It must be hard to live with this disease, feeling a sense of starvation every hour. She maintains the right attitude in that some good can come out of the disease. Hopefully scientists can continue this research to invent some form of medicine to help treat obesity.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02683592798064082687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3360356351594869925.post-39991982682109943242016-12-05T23:30:03.556-05:002016-12-05T23:30:03.556-05:00I thought that it was refreshing to see someone li...I thought that it was refreshing to see someone like Abby view her differences as more of a blessing than a burden, by hoping that they one day help others. I think it is a brilliant idea to try and alter the gene to help individuals struggling with obesity and make the body feel fuller sooner, as well as influence starvation but keeping it at a controlled level. I wonder how this mutation alters one's life span, and if it affects their facial features/skin or if it would just affect weight?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05639754169673826420noreply@blogger.com
