I know so many women who are affected by this type of cancer. I think down the road all women should be tested for the genes they find have a correlation with this disease. I think it's incredible how far science has come to the point where we can now locate and identify a gene like BRCA1 and take preventative measures to protect ourselves. Also, good timing with this post considering we recently discussed this topic in class- specifically women undergoing mastectomies to prevent the development of breast cancer.
