As a matter of fact, I never really gave the concept much thought…but it makes sense. If I were given all of the items in the chart and told to rank them in the order which I think would still display gene function, my list would be quite different. For some reason, I’d think the lungs would be closer in the ranking to the heart. Also, the stomach would lower on the chart, by the liver.
