My uncle happens...This was an interesting article. My uncle happens to be a plant geneticist and I know that understanding how plants react to their environment is crucial. I think that if scientists are able to identify what causes the drought resistance, there's potential that farmers would remain competitive in the growing seasons, and our abundance of food would increase. As long as these genes or resistance factors could be transmitted safely without causing harm to consumers, I think the results could be positive for many.
